To anyone playing golf, their clubs and other equipment are most important. Of course, this applies to professionals and everyone who takes up golf as a hobby. Any harm done to one’s equipment is difficult to deal with, and can also be quite expensive for some to replace. Former Love Island star Chris Hughes, who is a dedicated golf player, was recently left devastated after his precious golf clubs were stolen from his car.

The 28-year-old presenter and reality TV star seemed really shaken up as he shared the news with his fans on social media. Theft of any kind is serious, especially when the item is rare and close to someone’s heart. Hughes’ words made it clear that he was attached to the clubs and loved using them on the course.

Chris Hughes remains devastated after his golf clubs were stolen

In his social media post, Hughes shared photos of his car, which was broken into so his clubs could be taken. He asked everyone, especially those who know golf, to be on the lookout for anything similar that goes up for sale. Since the clubs that were stolen are not easily available, the thieves might not be able to sell them all that easily.

“Friends/golfing friends, PLEASE keep an eye out,” Hughes begins. “Car broken in overnight. Only reason I’m posting this is because these should almost be unsellable in the respect of the rarity of these just floating around for sale”.

The stolen items include “left Handed Cobra Copper Forged irons, driver, 3 wood and 3 iron”. As per Hughes, not many are used in the country, which is exactly why they will be difficult to sell.

” Just hope you can all keep an eye out, appreciate it,” Hughes added, adding that he had a ‘love affair’ with the clubs.

The Cobra clubs Hughes was talking about are most likely the Cobra Golf King Forged TEC Copper Irons and more. Most of those clubs cost over $1000 and are sometimes even sold out. Naturally, selling them at least legally would garner some attention.

Fans react

Most people in comments and replies hoped for Hughes to get his clubs back. Some even wondered about the total loss he had to bear. “Hope you get them back,” wrote one fan on Instagram. They also wondered why something so valuable was left in the car overnight.

Some wondered if it was because people pick up on things because celebs share too much on social media.

Of course, Hughes even tweeted that day, referring to it as one of the best days in his life. The TV star apparently plays with a handicap of 9, which is impressive for any amateur. Additionally, he is also dating Annabel Dimmock, who plays on the Ladies’ European Tour.
