It is no secret that John Daly loves to live life on his own terms. He is not like any other golfers who follow a particular diet and schedule to keep themselves fit for the sport. Although the golfer has won two majors throughout his career, he is famous for his free-spirited lifestyle. 

The 56-year-old is often seen smoking and even smokes while playing golf. And in a recent video shared by the Golfer Kingdom Instagram page shows the golfer taking a puff through his nose and releasing it through his mouth. 

In the video, when the videographer insists on him to “do the nose one”, the golfer can be heard saying, “It’s not good for you, buddy.” However, he still does it for the sake of the videographer. 

Notably, it was not the first time the two-time major winner was seen doing the cigarette trick. 

Daly’s style of smoking is different! 

“John Daly even smokes cigs cooler than you,” the caption on the Instagram reel read. Unlike the recent video, Daly does a couple of tricks with the cigarette on his own. He smokes it upside down and even does the nose trick in a row. While the first video was from a golf tournament, the second one was from a bar.

Smoking is not a new thing to Daly. According to his book, the golfer used to smoke 18k cigarettes a year. “I started smoking when I was 19, smoked for almost 29 years,” the 2-time major revealed to Graham Bensinger in an interview. “I smoke about the same as the book, two packs, two and a half packs a day.” 

Notably, when the interviewer asked him whether he plan to quit smoking, he answered, “No (chuckles), not really.” The smoking habits of the golfer are not something one would expect from an athlete. However, one will be surprised to hear it is not the only habit he has different from other golfers. 

John Daly doesn’t drink water! 

“I don’t drink water,” Daly stated. “I hate water,” the golfer’s revelation seemed to startle the interviewer as he asked him whether he never drinks water at all. 

According to the 1991 PGA Championship winner, his fellow Tour golfer calls him camel as he doesn’t drink water. Instead, Daly drinks diet coke. 

We don’t promote smoking as it is injurious to your health. Yet, we must admit that John Daly is no ordinary golfer. His diet habits are different from other golfers. However, with more than 19 professional wins worldwide, he had an incredible career like the best of them.
