When you think of the LPGA Tour, you often think of Nelly Korda. The young golf icon won hearts with her Olympic gold medal in Tokyo and has been consistent in her performances. Though recent health issues have affected her time on the course, her wins in 2021 have impressed fans and experts alike.

Of course, a successful career often equals good deals and more prize money.

Korda, who is currently ranked second, is easily one of the richest female athletes in the world.

According to reports, Korda’s net worth currently stands at $3.5 million. As per a Forbes‘ report, Korda earns $5.9 in a year and is ranked ninth on their Highest-Paid Female Athletes Of 2021 list.

Korda’s 2021 performances remain a big part of her performance, where she clinched her first major title at the Women’s PGA Championship. Of course, the Olympic gold was the cherry on top, along with her ended 2021 as the World No. 1.

Today, she boasts sponsors like UKG and Hanwha Q Cells.

However, Korda did finish 2021 behind South Korean sensation Jin Young Ko on LPGA’s prize money list. Eventually, she also lost out on the Player of the Year race. And yet, one cannot look past the near-perfect year she had.

She is also a part of Forbes 2022 30 Under 30 list.

Turning professional in 2016, her first LPGA Tour win was the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship in 2018. Since then, Korda has won seven LPGA titles, including her major win. That being said, the list of her wins started way back in 2016 with the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge.

Can Korda’s net worth increase?

Looking at the way Korda has been performing, an increase in earnings and sponsorships deals is expected. Though players like Jin Young Ko will remain competitors, Korda on her own will only continue to grow and perform. Furthermore, Korda remains a favorite on and off the court, which garners ample support from fans.

Currently, the 23-year-old is recovering from her blood clot removal. Though sidelined, Korda expects to start practicing once her health has regained, looking to return with full force.
