The first major championship of the year, the Masters Tournament, is on the cards at a fortnight’s notice. While some of the best golfers prepare for a title bid, five-time winner, Tiger Woods, won’t be in his usual laser-focused mentality. But that has nothing to do with his past victories, as the legendary golfer finds himself embroiled in a court battle against ex-partner, Erica Herman. As more speculations arise, the significance of understanding seems influential, as seen with former wife, Elin Nordegren, with whom Woods shares a long-lasting arrangement.

How Elin Nordegren supported Tiger Woods during his worst days

The former couple filed for divorce after an ugly split in 2010. Having ended their six years of marriage, the pair were given custody of co-parenting their two children, a daughter, Sam, and a son, Charlie.

While it’s been more than a decade since that arrangement, there have been no misunderstandings between the two parents. The children reportedly enjoy the freedom of visiting their mom’s or dad’s place anytime, with no refusals whatsoever.

But Woods was in dire need of support when he was involved in a high-speed car accident in February 2021. The mishap nearly ended the 15-time major championship winner’s golf career and sidelined him for several months.

However, during the painful rehab sessions post-surgery, Woods was able to see his kids “almost every day,” thanks to the kindness shown by Nordegren. “She has bent over backwards to make sure that he can see the kids while he recovers from his injuries,” a source at that claimed.

Does Elin Nordegren have a say about Woods’ court battle?

While she remains in touch with her former husband, the couple’s talks rarely traverse beyond their children. “She would never go back with him but likes that he is a good father. She has seen that over the years which worked them into a good relationship,” a recent source claimed.

Moreover, Nordegren reportedly has “no interest” in Woods’ case, which has caught the eyes of the golfing community. The 47-year-old was in a relationship with Erica Herman but has been now sued for $30 million after the golfer was accused of throwing her out of his home.
