While the golf world is delighted to see Tiger Woods back on the golf course, his little joke with fellow Tour member, Justin Thomas, may have disappointed many. Woods was criticized by many for his joke. However, not everyone was against the Hall of Famer, as wrestling’s greatest showman, Ric Flair, cited his support for the golfer in his own style.
During the first round at Genesis Invitational, Tiger was paired with his good friends, Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas. At the ninth hole in Riviera Golf Club, Woods outdrove Thomas on the tee shot. After outpowering his friend, the 15-time Major winner discretely handed JT something, which was later revealed to be a Tampon.
While many suggest it must have been an inside joke among the duo, others didn’t shy away from criticizing the legendary golfer. However, many came in defense of Tiger. One among them was the 16-time World Champion, Ric Flair.

“I’ve Got Your Back”, wrote the Nature Boy on Twitter, before tagging the golfer. He then added, “First Of All, You’re -3…”, referring to Tiger’s third-round performance at the ongoing Genesis Invitational. Woods stunned many with his decent three under par in the third round, outscoring his round pairs, Matthias Schwab and Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

In the end, the WWE Hall of Famer had some words from Tiger’s critics who have been constantly hating the golfer for his sensitive Tampon joke.“F*** Those Losers”, wrote the Nature Boy. “They Can’t Take A Joke!!! The Haters Need To Get A Grip”. Being part of the wrestling industry, Ric Flair may have endured plenty of hate from fans during his Heel persona.
However, for Tiger Woods, it may have been much more challenging than the rest. Nonetheless, the golfer has apologized for his joke. And when it comes to hostility, he has proved in the past how to overcome it, and will hope to end the Genesis Invitational on a high note.
