The official Twitter handle of the PGA tour shared a statement by the USMNT (United States Men’s National Soccer Team) star Christian Pulisic that proved Tiger’s aura goes beyond golf.

What did Pulisic say about Tiger Woods?
All young Americans have several sporting idols and athletes to admire and idolize. However, the soccer star, Christian Pulisic, looks up to the dedication of the great Tiger Woods. In the post, the soccer star showcased his tiger tattoo and expressed his admiration for the major championship winner. The statement read, “I have always loved tigers, but also, probably my favorite athlete growing up was Tiger Woods. I loved watching him play.”
We could not agree more with Pulisic. Who does not love Woods? His fans have been waiting to see him back in the game since his accident last year. The PGA tour also called the soccer player an eye of the tiger and shared another of his statement. “My biggest athlete inspiration was actually Tiger Woods. Growing up, I loved his mentality. I just felt like he worked so hard to be as good as he was.”

The15 times major championship winner turned pro at 20 in 1996. Today he has 82 PGA tour win registered under his name. The five-time green jacket winner is now focused on the upcoming ‘The match’ and the PNC Championship. And fans cannot wait to see their star shine brightly again.
How alike are Woods and Pulisic?
The rapid rise of the pro golfer Woods, to the pinnacle of the golf world, contributed to a peak in everyone’s interest in golf. The soccer player said, “[His rise] was incredible, and that’s exactly what I’m hoping I can do, inspire, especially kids back home, to do what I’m doing.” In some ways, Pulisic has also walked on the path of his idol in soccer.

As a teenager in 2016, Pulisic played his first season at Borussia Dortmund in Germany’s first division (Bundesliga). The Hershey-born star scored 19 goals and proved his worth. He also provided 26 assists over the following three years. Later, he moved to Chelsea F.C. in 2019 for $75 million. Subsequently, he became the most expensive American soccer player in history.
