Halo: Infinite to debut new mark system

Fans recently found out the existence of a mark system in Halo: Infinite through a developer. In a recent Employee Spotlight blog post at 343 Industries, the game’s Lead Multiplayer Designer, Andrew Witts revealed some details about this feature. Witts’ team works on a lot of features like Weapon Spawners, and the new Personal AI as well.

He stated this feature would allow players to mark a spot in the world to let their teammates know vital information like the location of an enemy or a weapon. This feature is available on some FPS titles like Apex Legends which has allowed fans to loot and strategize easily as a squad. But this will be the first time the mark system enters the world of Halo.

Will this feature be available on all modes?

With the return of modes like Big Team Battles, the mark system can have a lot of disadvantages as well. Players can become toxic and spam this system to annoy others in the popular 8v8 mode. However, it makes sense for the developers at 343 Industries to implement it for squads especially for the new Battle Royale mode the game will have.

It remains to be seen how useful this feature will be for Halo players on Infinite. Fans are still in the dark about the game’s various features. But they will know about it with the release of the game’s beta where the developers will gain a lot of feedback. Until then, fans can only speculate about the other unknown features of the title.
