“He Is a Real Charm” – Spanish Actress Lauds Rafael Nadal’s Humility

Rafael Nadal has been one of the most successful tennis players but he has done a lot outside the sport. He has started the Rafa Nadal Foundation for children and now, he has started the Go Spain project. This is a documentary for the revival of Spain after the coronavirus pandemic. Spanish Actress Cristina Castano came to Rafa’s academy as an ambassador of the project and she had a lot of complimentary things to say about him. Check out what she said.

As you can see in the Instagram post, Cristina Castano and Rafael Nadal took a picture at his academy and she also said a lot about him (quotes are translated). She thanked the World No.2 for his time and she also described his personality. She said,

“Thank you Rafa for your time and for receiving us so well. For those of you who do not know him in person, that you know that he is a real charm and that under the masks we are smiling.”

Cristina Castano is not the only one who is a fan of Rafa. There are millions of people around the world who love watching the Spaniard play but sadly, they are not going to see him play at the US Open this year.

The World No.2 pulled out of the 2020 US Open due to the coronavirus pandemic. He feels that people still don’t have control of the situation and that is why he doesn’t travel right now.

In addition to that, the Spaniard also said that the scheduling played a role in his decision. He thinks that the transition from hard-court to clay would be very dangerous which is understandable as he has had many injuries throughout his career.

Everyone will miss Rafa at this year’s US Open but they will see him at the French Open. It is his favorite event and he has said that he is preparing for it. Hopefully, will win his 13th title at the event which starts on September 27th.
