Honda Praise Max Verstappen After Topsy Turvy German Grand Prix

After everybody was finally able to catch their breath after a frantic and crazy German GP, the congratulations flooded in. Among the well-wishers of Max Verstappen and Red Bull, were engine partners, Honda. The Dutch driver kept a straight head, while everyone else kept losing it and hindering themselves.

When Honda tweeted, they unknowingly, or knowingly, threw a subtle dig at former McLaren driver, Fernando Alonso. For the uninitiated, it was a reference to Alonso’s rant on the radio where he screamed out, “GP2 Engine! GP2 Engine! AARGH!”

Afterwards, they cheekily autocorrected themselves by correcting it to two GP victories of 2019. Coming back to the race itself, Max Verstappen and teammate Pierre Gasly had horrific starts. Alfa Romeo’s Kimi Raikkonen benefitted greatly and slotted into 3rd from 5th. Then, the chaos began as drivers began to fall afoul of the weather conditions.

However, Max Verstappen persevered and won in Germany, to the delight of the crowd. Joining him on the podium was Sebastian Vettel, completing one of the best comebacks. Also, Daniil Kvyat stunned everyone when he landed on the podium in 3rd, a day after his daughter was born.
