Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War title is out now, with the game available on all platforms. Black Ops Cold War is definitely one of the biggest games of 2020, and has the potential to compete with other big titles, like AC Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion.
Along with the staple Multiplayer and single-player campaign modes, the game also brings back the Zombies mode. Moreover, the new mode comes an extremely cool easter egg which will definitely enhance your gameplay experience.
This easter egg is part of the new Zombies map called ‘Die Maschine’. It is like an upgraded version of the very first Zombies map from COD: World At War called ‘Nacht der Untoten’. However, this Zombies storyline is completely different and is set in a new universe.
The map also contains an interesting easter egg. To find the easter egg, players will have to collect three tapes lying around the map. The particular order does not matter, as long as all the three tapes are in their grasp.
Black Ops Cold War Easter Egg locations
The first tape is located under the particle accelerator on top a cabinet-type unit.
The next one is located towards the left of the armor upgrade station, on the bottom level of the storage unit.
Last, the third one can be found within the spawn room, on a shelf in the corner of the room.
Once all three tapes are collected, a song, composed by Kevin Sherwood, plays in the background. Fans of the franchise know that Kevin is the sound designer and composer for Treyarch. He is known for his work in several Call of Duty franchises over the years.
The song may seem a little mellow at the beginning but it transitions into a very upbeat, rock classic which will enhance your gameplay. Take a look at the video below to see the exact locations of the tapes and listen to the entire song.
There will be a lot more easter eggs to uncover in the campaign and multiplayer modes. More information regarding the same will come to light soon enough.
