Hobart Hurricanes chases down a massive score of 209 to defeat Brisbane Heat by 6 wickets with 6 balls remaining.

Brisbane Heat started superbly, scoring at almost 10 runs per over. The opening partnership of 119 between Peirson and Forrest set the tone for the Heat. When the partnership broke up, both were dismissed in a span of three balls. After that when Daniel Christian came on to bat, he ripped off Hurricane’s bowling attack by scoring 34 off just 9 balls. Tim Paine and Ben Dunk struck the ball at every corner of the ground in the Hurricane’s inning. They were going at more than 12 an over, cruising for victory. The opening partnership was of 120 in 9 overs. After losing Paine, the run rate came down and pressure started to build up. And soon Dunk succumbed to the pressure and got out. The asking rate jumped back to 10. Alex Hales brought stability to the innings but Hurricane’s were losing their way. 15 were required of 9 balls and George Bailey bludgeoned Duffield for a 97m six and sealed the match. Tim Paine is the man of the match for his fast fifty at top of the order.
