During last night’s Raw episode, Austin gave a brief interview where he spoke about a wide range of subjects, including his idea of loyalty, respect, and, of course, the much-awaited return of John Cena to the red brand. The 25-year-old conveyed his utter respect and admiration for Cena. Hence, he thought of giving due respect to him, celebrating his homecoming. Though the exact plan is still unknown.

The US Champion noted, ‘I got a lot of respect for John Cena. And that’s why next week, in Boston, his hometown, I am gonna……. and I am gonna give him all the respect he deserves. ‘

Austin Theory ‘can’t wait’ for the legend’s return

Earlier, during the 20th February Raw episode, Vince McMahon’s protégé was initially upset about the fact that it was Cena who dominated the headlines regarding his return and not him, even after he retained his US Champion title. However, after defeating Edge that night, the future face of the Company made it clear that he will be the one to give Cena a warm welcome on his comeback no matter what.

Austin reflected on how eager he was to see Cena get back in the ring, saying,; ‘I can’t wait for that. I can’t wait to bring him home and give him a warm, warm welcome to Monday Night Raw. Do you want to know why? Because things are a little different around here now. Now, ‘The Now.’ Remember that.’

It was June 27, 2022, when John Cena and Austin Theory last met each other in the ring during the Monday Night Raw episode to celebrate the former’s 20 years anniversary with WWE. Cena not only defeated Theory at the time but also refused to take a selfie with the Unproven One. Now we are yet to see if Theory can take revenge for that or not.

Currently, fans are gearing up to see John Cena and arguably the future John Cena (Austin Theory) facing each other on next week’s Raw and subsequently on The Grandest Stage of Them All as well.
