Ember Moon and Alexa Bliss are two of NXT’s best exports to the main roster. Both women are immensely talented in their crafts and have developed gimmicks that resonate with the WWE Universe.

However, the two have had very different career trajectories. While Bliss has thrived on the main roster with multiple title wins, Moon found herself back on the Black and Gold brand after a lackluster main roster run.

Despite her relatively moderate success, Moon is happy for her friend’s success. She recently let it all out on Twitter.

The former WWE NXT Women’s Champion was out because of an almost career-ending injury in 2019. During her time out of the ring, Alexa had been checking up on her almost every day.

A wrestler in WWE has a very tightly packed day-to-day schedule. Few superstars manage the time for their family, let alone friends. Ember let the world know that even if Alexa is a badass Harley-Quinn like wrestler in the ring, she is a caring friend outside it.

Ember Moon Wants To Return

On April 7, 2021, WWE Performance Center put out a video on YouTube showing Ember Moon and her tag team partner Shotzi Blackheart. WWE Performance Center also put out a tweet that read,

After Ember Moon suffered a career-threatening injury in 2019 that put her out of action for more than a year, all she wanted to do was come home. Since returning to WWE NXT, Ember has found her happiness and gained a sister, Shotzi Blackheart

Both the superstars can be seen sparring against each other. Ember talks her heart out with Blackheart about her injury saying,

“I just don’t want to be the injury-prone girl.”

Ember Moon’s WWE Run

In August 2017, Asuka had to vacate the NXT Women’s Championship due to an injury she suffered. WWE revealed that Asuka would move over to the main roster following her return.

Asuka made a startling entrance at the end of the NXT Women’s Championship in a fatal four-way match between Royce, Nikki Cross, Kairi Sane, and Ember. Asuka then proceeded to hand over the championship to Ember as she won the then-vacant title on November 18, 2017,

Moon made her first successful title defense on December 27 in NXT, by defeating Sonya Deville. Ember would then be confronted by Sane and attacked by the debuting Shayna Baszler. Boiling to the feud, WWE announced a title match between Moon and Baszler at NXT TakeOver, where Moon retained her championship despite suffering an arm injury.

Currently, Moon is enjoying her reign as NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship with Shotzi Blackheart.
