The sixth episode featured a fight between prospect Lee Hammond and former UFC fighter Kurt Holobaugh. Although Hammond displayed great skill and courage in the fight, it was Holobaugh who came out on top eventually. Speaking about his team’s 6th victory, Chandler admitted that team McGregor’s Hammond put up a good performance.

However, he did not shy away from stating that the experience of Holobaugh was the deciding factor, as always.

“Let’s be honest Lee Hammond did show and prove that he’s got a very bright future in the sport of mixed martial arts. But it always goes back to experience. Kurt Holobaugh used his veteranship and his mat awareness to be able to cinch up that mounted guillotine. And then it was over as soon as he locked it up and started squeezing. That’s a 36-year-old man battle-tested.”

There might be some weight in Chandler’s statement, considering his team of experienced veterans are able to consistently dominate prospects. With TUF 31 going heavily in favor of Iron Mike, it seems like his team’s experience is indeed the reason Team McGregor is down 6-0.
