“I want to play in the Slams again”: Andy Murray

The three-time Grand Slam winner was gutted to miss the Australian Open 2020. He dreams of playing the Grand Slams again after missing to play the singles in the last three majors.

“I want to play in the Slams again. That is the thing that I have missed over these last few years. Missing the Australian Open for me this year was rough. At the end of last season, I was actually starting to play pretty well, I was feeling good and then this happened,” Murray told BBC.

The 32-year-old has only just returned to training after being ruled out from the ATP Tour due to bruising on his pelvic bone. He may need an operation to remove bone growth associated with the surgery. However, he has not completely ruled himself out of the Miami Open, which takes place from 23-30 March.

“I have become quite pessimistic about time frames, issues and stuff because of what has gone on really and what has been said to me,” he added. “I don’t want to say I will definitely be in Miami playing but there is also the possibility that I might have to have something done. We’ll just have to see.”
