There are plenty of wrestlers who make a legendary career in Hollywood as well. Dave Bautista is definitely one of the topmost in the list. Despite proving his excellency in wrestling, The Animal has turned towards acting and that too for not any petty worldly purpose.

The wrestler turned actor started his shining acting career back in 2006 and attained similar success, if not more, over the years. His most recent character featuring Drax the Destroyer in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ gained earned him massive admiration across the globe.

While many appreciate his amazing film career, there is often a buzz floating in the air that Dave left his wrestling career for more fame and money in Hollywood. People are having different opinions, which is okay, but the star himself has an honest confession toward all those people. His recent tweet consisting of a short video depicts this.

In this video, Dave noted, ‘I have said since I have left the wrestling that I didn’t leave to be a movie star, I wasn’t chasing pay check I just wanted to be a good actor and it took a long time but I feel like I am just getting there where I am validating those choices and making people see that it wasn’t just hot air that I was blowing out. This is true sentiments, and this is the way I feel and I love this craft, I respect this craft.’

To him, being an actor is more important than being a hero, superstar or anything of that sort. That clearly depicts his pure emotion towards acting. Reflecting that emotion, ‘Drax, the destroyer’ continued, ‘I really didn’t want to be a movie star or action hero. I wanted to be an actor. This is a statement and not just you know something I am just saying because I want people to believe that or look at me differently, look at me other than the wrestler turned actors because this is the way I feel, I fell in love with acting and became obsessed with.’

However, this is not the first time Dave Batista reflected on his much hyped acting career. People often compare him to The Rock, another gem of an actor emerging from WWE. So, the comparison is inevitable. Referring to that comparison, Bautista made it very loud and clear earlier that he wants to be himself and not anyone else, even if it is the greatest Dwayne The Rock Johnson. Contrary to what many people might believe, he stated that it is only experience and earning that he wants from acting. He seemingly doesn’t have any interest in the lavish, glamorous life and enormous fame Hollywood has to offer.

The multi-talented superstar had starred in nearly 29 films so far. He also tried his hand on producing a few. However, the path was not easy. Dave has nailed it by staring straight into the spotlight, taking off all his self doubts, fear of failure.
