It is nearly time for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 to begin and the 10 participating teams are champing at the bit. Every team is working hard to have the honour of lifting the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy. The World Cup 2019 time table sees Afghanistan kick off their campaign against Sri Lanka.

The Afghanistan team enter the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as the underdogs but they boast of a highly talented team. This will be their second ICC Cricket World Cup after debuting in 2015.

Unfortunately, two of their star players, Mohamed Nabi and Rashid Khan missed out on ODI experience due to their IPL 2019 commitments. However, they will be sure to pick up where they left off and deliver the results for the team.

The good news is that the team are not reporting any injuries yet, so the entire squad is in tip-top condition.

Afghanistan’s World Cup 2019 Time Table

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Afghanistan schedule kicks off with two warm up matches. The first team on their radar are their neighbours Pakistan on the 24th of May, followed by England on the 27th of May.

The World Cup 2019 time table for Afghanistan, starts with them being thrown into the deep end with Australia on the 1st of June. A few days later, they go up against Sri Lanka on the 4th. On the 8th, their next targets will be New Zealand.

Next up will be a clash with South Africa on the 15th. The next ones on the hit list are the hosts, England on the 18th, closely followed by India on the 22nd and Bangladesh on the 24th. Their final two games in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Afghanistan Schedule will be against Pakistan on the 29th of June and West Indies on the 4th of July.
