ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: England Resurrects Memories of 1992, Reveals New Jersey

In a countdown to ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Team England unveiled their World Cup 2019 kit which is similar to that of the World Cup 1992 jersey.

England resurrected the memories of the 1992 edition of the World Cup when they last reached the finals of the quadrennial event. The New Jersey is light blue in color, reverting the memories down the lane when Graham Gooch and his team had put on the same color.

England, the inventors of the game has never won a World Cup title since its inauguration in 1975. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is hosted by England and Wales. This is the 5th time in 12 editions of the Cricket World Cup when England is hosting the event.

As a host, England are hot favorites to win the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 title. It looks like, Team England wants to bring back their lucky color in the 12th edition of the World Cup and try out their luck to win their maiden World Cup title. It is interesting to know that from light blue color kit to Navy blue color kit, England has tried out every shade of blue on their jersey. The fans of the England cricket team are also nostalgic about the new light blue color jersey made by New Balance.

England, on Tuesday, announced their final ICC World Cup 2019 squad after making 3 changes from the preliminary squad. Joe Denly has made a place for all-rounder Liam Dawson, while Alex Hales made way for James Vince as Hales was suspended from the team after failing a drugs test. Also, Jofra Archer came in place of David Willey after a long discussion on the selection of Archer in the squad.

Eoin Morgan-led England will start their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign against South Africa on May 30 at the Oval. It will be interesting to see how the team performs at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as they have the advantage of playing on their home soil and now they have put on the lucky light blue color jersey.
