The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is the 12 edition of the biggest quadrennial tournament in the world of cricket. The event is scheduled from May 30 to June 14 in England and Wales.

Australia has been the most successful team in the history of the world cup with conquering five titles since the start of the tournament in 1975. However, there have been other champions of the tournament, like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and West Indies. The competition in the world cup nevertheless increases in every edition. As the World Cup is nearing the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 predictions would be enthralling.

England, being the hosts of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 would aim to win their first world cup title on their home turf. England will play the opening game of the event against South Africa on May 30.

Australia would enter the tournament as the defending champion. They will launch their World Cup campaign against the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Champions, Afghanistan on June 1. While India and Pakistan will hope to repeat their performances of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. However, Pakistan has not been in a good form lately but they’ll aim to turn the tables around in the world cup.

India has been in good form lately. After losing to England in the 3-match ODI series 2-1, last year, India won the Asia Cup. The team also won the 5-match ODI series against West Indies in their home.

India started the 2019 season well after defeating Australia in the 3-match ODI series. The team also did well on the New-Zealand tour as they defeated the black caps 4-1 in the 5-match ODI series. However, the team was defeated by the Australians 3-2 on the Australia tour of India in the 5-match ODI series. India still is the top contenders to win the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Title.

The Indian cricket team is one of the strongest teams on the circuit. The team has one of the best batsman and the best bowler in the world.

Indian Skipper, Virat Kohli is the man to watch out for. Kohli has been phenomenal in the past two years. He has scored 12 ODI centuries in the last two years. Another important player for the Indian team would be Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah is currently the best limited-over bowler in the world and can be a key for the Indian team.

The other players to watch out for the Indian team would be MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan, and Hardik Pandya. MS Dhoni has been in a great form lately in the IPL 2019. While Shikhar Dhawan and was at their best during the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 which was also played in England. Hardik Pandya, on the other hand, looks in good touch in the IPL 2019, his all-round performance would be interesting to watch out for.

However, the team has a poor record in England but they played some quality cricket in their last tournament in England, that is in the ICC Champions Trophy 2011, reaching the finals of the event.
