A dispirited Pakistan cricket fan has filed a petition against the Pakistan cricket team in the Gujranwala Civil Court. The fan appealed the court to ban the Pakistan cricket team playing at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and also demanded to sack the selection committee.

According to a report from SAMAA news channel, a Pakistani fan, whose name was not revealed demanded a ban on the Pakistan cricket team against the court. The petitioner also called out for sacking the Inzamam-ul-Haq selection committee.

The report further added that the court summoned some officers of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a response to the petition filed against the team.

The Pakistan cricket team left their fans disenchanted following their embarrassing defeat against team India at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, on Sunday in Manchester.

The Pakistani team is facing huge criticism from Pakistani fans and the former cricketers after their 89-run defeat against the ‘Men in Blue’ in a one-sided fixture. The team was also trolled as the loss meant their 7th straight defeat against India at the ICC Cricket World Cup.

Pakistan has earned only 3 points in their five matches at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and stands on the ninth position ahead of Afghanistan at the points table.

Earlier, Geo News had reported that PCB will look to let go of several members from the management. Mickey Arthur, coach of Pakistan cricket team, bowling coach, Azhar Mahmood, and the team manager Talat Ali are included in the list who will be dismissed. Also, the selection committee led by Inzamam-ul-Haq can be dissolved after their scheduled meeting on Wednesday in Lahore.

The Geo news also reported that no decision will be taken hastily due to Pakistan’s defeat against India at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. All the decisions will be taken after reviewing the performances of the captain, coaches, and selectors.
