South African veteran Kevin Anderson will make his return to the ATP Cup at the inaugural ATP Cup. Anderson will be representing his country in the tournament and will be carrying the hopes of the inexperienced South African team.
Anderson was pretty confident on his return after remaining away from the sport for six months due to a knee injury.
He expressed his happiness at the chance of representing his country on the international stage.
“It’s going to be an awesome event representing South Africa and also for the sport of tennis. Coming back to a big stage, with guaranteed matches is a perfect way to start the season,” said Anderson.

Anderson talked about his team that carries a good blend of youth as well as experience.
“It’s a great opportunity to represent South Africa in this format, which makes a lot of sense for players,” said Anderson. “We have a good team with Lloyd, who continues to get better, and Raven, who had an amazing year in doubles.”
Kevin had been out with a knee injury for the last six months. In fact, he played only 15 matches in the 2019 season with his last match against Guido Pella in Wimbledon.
The year was good for him on the personal front as his wife gave birth to their first child.
