India have posted a huge total of 497 for 9 before declaring on Day 2 of the third and final Test against South Africa at Ranchi on Sunday. Rohit Sharma scored his double century, Ajinkya Rahane scored another century while Ravindra Jadeja hit a fifty for India. However, it was Umesh Yadav who took the limelight from others by hitting back-to-back sixes which made Virat Kohli amazed as well.
After Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed by Linde after his fifty, Umesh Yadav walked into the crease and hit a massive six on the very first ball he faced and the mood of the crowd suddenly changed. He hit another six after that at the end Linde’s 29th over.
While returning to bowl in his 30th over, Umesh Yadav once again took on him. He smashed him for another six and registered three back-to-back to the same bowler. Yadav hit the shot over deep midwicket with all his strength and power. However, that made everyone happy along with captain Virat Kohli. But his stormy knock didn’t last long as he was dismissed by Linde in the last ball of the same over. Umesh Yadav finished this innings as the fastest 30+ scorer in the history of Test cricket.
However, South Africa lost their two wickets on Day 2 before the stump.
