IND vs SA 2019: Twitterati Reacts as Proxy Captain Temba Bavuma Fails to Win the Toss for South Africa

Although India have lost their first three wickets very early, South Africa too didn’t have a better of luck for a long time regarding the toss. The toss plays a major role in each and every game but South Africa certainly failed to taste the flavour of winning the toss despite captain Faf du Plessis’s master stroke, who brought in Temba Bavuma at the toss to turn the table, but his effort went in vain.

After having lost nine tosses in a row, South Africa captain Faf du Plessis earlier gave a hint ahead of the third test, that he might bring in someone else to do the needful and hopes to change their luck as well. Recently, Australia Women’s captain Meg Lanning too had brought in the wicket-keeper batter Alyssa Healy as her toss substitute and Healy turned the table for Australia.

After that, Faf du Plessis also decided to try the same way and called in Temba Bavuma to do the Toss at Ranchi. Bavuma called for the tail at the Toss but it was “heads”. On the other hand, India captain Virat Kohli, who eventually won the toss, burst into laughter with this and chose to bat first as usual.
