Mumbai Indians beat Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets to register their first win in this season. Having won the toss, Mumbai Indians, led by Rohit Sharma, opted to bowl first. Captain Gautam Gambhir took charge of the Knight Riders’ innings and accompanied by Manish Pandey, took the scorecard from 21/1 to 121/2. Andre Russell further pushed the scorecard up with his 36 run knock off just 17 deliveries. They finally managed to put up a total of 187 runs in their 20 overs. With a target of 188 runs, Rohit ‘Hitman’ Sharma played a captain’s knock scoring an unbeaten 84 runs off 54 balls. Jos Buttler also played an exceptional knock of 41 runs from 22 balls, thus helping Mumbai to chase the total with 5 balls to spare.
