The Gujarat Lions continue their winning streak as they beat Mumbai Indians by 3 wickets at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. This is Gujarat’s third consecutive win of the season helping them retain the top position on the points table. The Lions, having won the toss opted to bowl first. After losing early wickets, the hosts were 99/7 in the seventeenth over. Tim Southee (25 off 11) and Krunal Pandya(20 off 11) put up a great partnership helping the Mumbai Indians to reach 143 runs in their 20 overs. Coming out to bat for the Lions, opener Aaron Finch scored 67 runs off 54 deliveries, powering them to a 3 wicket win over the Mumbai Indians. He received his third consecutive Man of the Match award. Mitchell McClenaghan of Mumbai Indians bowled exceptionally well with figures of 4-21-4.
