World No.1 Novak Djokovic and his wife Jelena Djokovic were tested positive for the coronavirus. But thankfully for the Djokovic family, the kids have been tested negative. But Djokovic’s father Srdjan Djokovic has come out and slammed Grigor Dimitrov for the spread of the virus during the Adria Tour.

Dimitrov was the first one in the Adria tour to get infected. He flew from the US to Zadar, Croatia, and then reported about his sickness. He later flew back to Monaco and got tested there. The result came out to be positive. Subsequently, Borna Coric, Viktor Troicki and Djokovic himself were tested positive.

Djokovic already attracted a lot of criticism from all the world for holding the Adria Tour without social distancing. And after he gave out a statement regarding his test the public has been more hostile to World No.1. Srdjan has then gone on to blame Dimitrov for tarnishing Novak Djokovic’s name.

“Why did it all happen? It happened because the man came sick from who knows where. He did not get tested here, and he was tested elsewhere.” Srdjan said.

Speaking to B92, Djokovic Sr. was disgusted with Dimitrov. And even went on to say that he has harmed the relations between Serbia and Croatia.

Djokovic has maintained a defensive stand over the Adria Tour since its start. It was seen that the tour lacked safety precautions for the rapid spreading coronavirus. But Djokovic kept mentioning that they were abiding the precautions and protocols set by the government. Nevertheless, everyone would want to forget the tour and move on and make sure that this doesn’t happen again. Fans will be hoping for a speedy and safe recovery for the people infected.
