Italian Open 2019:- Injured Players List

After Novak Djokovic defeats Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Madrid finals yesterday, the reunion of the ‘Big Three’ of tennis will be again seen in the Italian clay ATP 1000 Masters event. Roger Federer is yet to add the Rome crown to his colossal collection of ATP titles and Rafael Nadal is still in the quest for his premier title of the season 2019. There are a few ATP and WTA men and women who will be absenting themselves from the Italian Open 2019. 

1. Kevin Anderson

The South African, Kevin Anderson’s prevailing right elbow injury has forced him to stay away from the European clay courts, hence we will be missing the Italian Open 2019. A few weeks ago, Anderson called off his 2019 tennis season until the Roland Garros 2019.

2. Andy Murray

The former World Number one, Andy Murray underwent hip surgery in the month of February, which kept bothering him for a while. He’s expected to join the ATP circuit for the grass court season.

3. Milos Raonic

After a classic run at Indian Wells 2019, the Canadian, Milos Raonic just survived a match in Miami. Since then, he has not stepped on clay courts due to his injured knee, and therefore he won’t be seen in action during the Italian Open 2019.

4. Tomas Berdych
