Apart from his wins and his skills, John Cena is also known for his motto. He has t-shirts that say “Never Give Up”, a mantra that he had applied to his pro wrestling career. However,  at the end of the day, even The Leader of The Cenation is nothing but a human being.

John Cena has had his run-ins with the Anoa’i family from time to time. It was Rikishi, then Umaga, and now, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. But these two are just pawns, as Cena might want to target the king, The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. They had their first encounter back in 2017, at No Mercy. Reigns had defeated Cena there. Another one happened at SummerSlam 2021, where Reigns was triumphant once again. However, Cena got his revenge on the December 30th episode of SmackDown when he defeated Reigns with the help of Sami Zayn. Now Cena might want to end the reign of The Bloodline at SmackDown.

Ahead of his tag team match with LA Knight against Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso, Cody Rhodes, and Jey Uso have joined forces with John Cena. With Sikoa wanting to exact revenge on Cena for his uncle Umaga and with Rhodes and Reigns’ rivalry, this might lead to The Tribal Chief coming out of the shadows once again. It should be noted that the last time Roman Reigns was seen was during the SummerSlam 2023. After that, his whereabouts are unknown. However, it has been confirmed by WWE that he will return on the October 13th episode of SmackDown. This will be the next SmackDown episode after Fastlane. We could see Roman Reigns trying to navigate through the aftermath of the event if Bloodline’s tag team loses the match. This could build up a perfect scenario to intensify the rivalry between John Cena and Roman Reigns.

His next encounter with the event was in 2018. He was a part of the six-pack challenge, in which many stars went off against AJ Styles for the WWE World Championship title. When the dust settled, fans could see Styles walking away with the belt after defeating everyone. With Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso teaming up with John Cena and LA Knight, could this mean defeat is inevitable for The Bloodline at Fastlane? Will John Cena be able to break his Fastlane curse?
