The Wonder Cement Saath7 Cricket Mahotsav that stole the hearts of many, with a striking success in Rajasthan last year is back! This time the excitement has tripled! The second edition of the cricket Mahotsav will spread its wings across 3 states. This year, the wave of unity will flow through Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Legendary Cricketer, Kapil Dev flagged off the event at a press conference in New Delhi. This initiative started in the year 2015 and it is all set for a record 48,000 participants and 300 tosses!

The Wonder Cement’s Saath7 Cricket Mahotsav has brought in the spirit that urges the nation to think differently. It is the journey of an individual associated, justifying an emotion not only towards cricket but unity at large.

Although the aim is to promote cricket from grass root level, its target is still sky high. Citizens can interact with each other, irrespective of their caste, creed, customs, costumes and perhaps even their convictions. It was started in 2015 as a social experiment. The aim was to encouraging rural talent. Wonder Cement Saath7 Cricket Mahotsav witnessed tremendous success in Rajasthan.

Looking at the approach, the ‘Consumer Engagement Campaign’ reflects the spirit and weaves its excitement across the three states. It is only by igniting a passion that the true potential can be recognised. Also by mending a platform like this does unity evolve. The key objectives of this initiative are to gain respect for women, unity, youth empowerment, local employment and talent encouragement.

Wonder Cement Saath7 Cricket Mahotsav, keeps it short, simple and sweet with covering 7 players in 7 overs match wherein 1 women in the team, holds a bonus of 7 runs. That’s a big development for the states which are yet to catch up fully on women emancipation.

A special team of differently-abled players was one of the exclusive highlights last year. Last year a female player of 65 years old, named Mira Devi, was a proud association at this event as well. The winner for last year’s tournament was MSG Club from Bikaner. This year there will be a special team for masons too. One’s who are associated with Wonder Cement’s mason program- ‘Saathi’. Striking the right chord with the sports fanatics is on the edge where excitement is on the groove.

Udaipur will host the final match. After 15 matches between the 16 shortlisted teams, one winning team will emerge as the Team of Tehsil. Tehsils’ teams will converge at the District Level and face each other to select the District Team. District Teams will converge at the Zonal level and Zonal Teams will meet at Udaipur for the playoffs.

It is a wonder in itself. The entire tournament is a festival from 1st November to 24th December hence we call it a Mahotsav. It is not about winning or losing, it is about the spirit”
