Khabib Nurmagomedov is the most dominant champion in UFC history after his win against Dustin Poirier. He has a 12 fight win streak in UFC, he is unbeaten, and he has lost only one round in his entire fight career. How many fighters are there in history who have a similar resume? None. That explains why a fight with the unbeaten lightweight champion is what everyone asking for at the moment.

We see Conor McGregor asking for the rematch against Khabib. We have Tony Ferguson who is the rightful contender for the title shot. We also have arguably the greatest fighter in history, George St Pierre hovering around for a fight with Nurmagomedov to cement his legacy as the best to ever do it. however, the fans want only one match up at the moment. The fight between Ferguson and Nurmagomedov has been scheduled four times in the past, and yet we have not seen these two monsters go at each other inside the octagon. Well, it seems Ferguson’s chances to get the title shot is in danger since Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz wants a super fight with GSP rather than a title defense against Ferguson.

Abdelaziz has discredited Ferguson’s achievements in the past and he did the same again recently when he said:

“Nobody really cares about what Tony says. Nobody gives a s*** really. As far as I know, GSP is next. That is what I want. Tony doesn’t get what he wants. We get what Khabib wants, and if Khabib calls me and says he wants Georges St-Pierre, Georges St-Pierre will be next”

Not only that, but Abdelaziz also shut down any possibilities of McGregor getting a rematch against Nurmagomedov by saying:

“Conor is like a sour ex-girlfriend; she can’t get anybody else. This is what Conor is. He’s irrelevant, and you heard what Justin Gaethje said. He’s not a good person. The train has left him.”

Abdelaziz has also said that he doesn’t want to go through the ugliness that Conor brings into a fight. Abdelaziz said:

“Not interested at all … for what?!? We already beat him, we already whooped his ass. We don’t wanna go through with this Conor bulls**t again.”

Ali Abdelaziz also mentioned that Khabib Nurmagomedov will be fighting again in 2019. And fans hope he defends his title against Tony Ferguson.
