This weekend, the Formula One paddock heads to Shanghai for the 2019 Chinese Grand Prix. However, this weekend is a bit more special as it will be the 1000th running of a Formula One race. During the Thursday pre-race press conference, the panel consisted of Kimi Raikkonen, Alexander Albon, Romain Grosjean and Sergio Perez.

To commemorate the occasion of 1000 races, a few drivers have come out with special helmets to celebrate. The likes of Lando Norris and George Russell unveiled new helmet designs. So, some were curious to see if the panel of drivers were going to follow the same trend.

Of course, when Kimi Raikkonen is on a press conference panel, you are never getting a straight answer, and it will be hilarious. So, when he was asked whether he was unveiling a special helmet, Kimi Raikkonen joked “I wanted to have an open-face helmet but there was some regulations issues.”
