McLaren driver Lando Norris is widely known among the fans to be a bit of a social media troll. The young British driver often makes memes and pokes fun whenever possible, and everyone loves him for it. However, following the French Grand Prix, Lando Norris finally met his match on social media. It turned out to be none other than the other social media darling, Kimi Raikkonen.

The scene kicked off when Raikkonen posted a couple of images on Instagram of himself and the other drivers wearing flat caps. A second image showed Kimi Raikkonen with teammate Antonio Giovinazzi sitting behind some chairs. Lando Norris could not resist poking fun at the veteran Finn. He commented, “For a minute I thought you were driving a tiny car in that second pic”.

Without losing a beat, Kimi Raikkonen fired back, “I thought the same thing about you yesterday…”

Needless to say, the internet went crazy and even the Alfa Romeo team got in on the act with a bullseye emoji. It looks like Lando Norris can check ‘getting burned by Kimi Raikkonen’ off the bucketlist.

Meanwhile, coming to the on-track action, Kimi Raikkonen ended the French Grand Prix in 7th place. The McLaren rookie ended up in 9th place, with both benefitting off a penalty for Daniel Ricciardo. The three admittedly, had a titanic battle in the closing stages of the French Grand Prix. However, they were all summoned by the stewards to explain themselves, after a few hairy moments. In the end, it was Ricciardo who came away with the punishment, with two 5-second time penalties, dropping him to 11th from 7th.

Kimi Raikkonen also confessed that ‘he had fun’ during the race. In all honesty, most of the race was fairly dull, with the only entertainment coming from the midfield.
