Caitlin Clark Couldn't Play, But Still Slayed With New Kobe Shoe

Just like Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark used the All-Star Game to debut a new version of the Kobe 5 PE. It features the colors of Team Clark, with the shoe being goldish yellow at the front, and then slowly descending to fiery orange as it goes backwards. The Nike Swoosh is bright red, and so is the Mamba logo on the shoe's tongue.

Magic Meets Sky

Amongst the people who attended the All-Star game was Orlando Magic star Wendell Carter Jr. After the matchup ended, he got to meet up with Angel Reese, who asked him for a photograph. The two exchanged some more words, and then went their separate ways. Angel Reese and Wendell Carter Jr. have been friends for quite a while. The NBA star had even attended Reese's birthday party back in May. Wendell has attended a few Chicago Sky matchups, too. For a while, it was presumed that the two were a couple, but neither of the players provided any validity to the rumors.

Kelsey Mitchell Thanks Indianapolis For Making All-Star Weekend "Special".

During the post-game Q&A session, Kelsey Mitchell was asked about how this year's All-Star game was different than the one in the previous years. With the recent All-Star Game being her 3rd one, she can certainly draw a comparison. Mitchell went on to say that "It was special. It was really, really special. You guys made it special. I think everybody played a big part in making this weekend what it was supposed to be. Shout-out to the city of Indianapolis for putting a great show for everybody. And I think, hopefully, that the players from the W, the other teams, enjoyed themselves".

New York Liberty hypes up Caitlin Clark-Sabrina Ionescu bond

Game recognizes game, no matter which team you belong to. Sabrina Ionescu is someone who has always held Caitlin Clark in high regard. The New York Liberty star recently revealed that she has been guiding Clark through the latter's injury troubles. Sabrina called it a "blessing in disguise", since one can learn and grow from these issues. The All-Star Game gave a chance for the two to reconnect. Though their team didn't win, they were still able to get a memorable picture taken. The official X account of New York Liberty recently highlighted it, along with the caption "When 2 🪣’s linkup".

Being the 1st overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, it was clear that Paige Bueckers will be destined for big things. After a memorable couple of games, Bueckers has now even made her mark in the All-Star Weekend too. According to reports, the Dallas Wings star recorded the most assists without a turnover by a rookie in NBA/WNBA All-Star game history.

Napheesa Collier Sends Love to StudBudz

More than the players, a Twitch stream channel has been discussed during the 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend. StudBudz, which is reportedly run by Minnesota Lynx players Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman, earlier boasted over 60,000 followers, but grew in popularity over the last few days. After all, it captured several highlights of the All-Star crew's After Parties, and gave fans a rare glimpse into their favourite players' off-court lives. In a way, it increased the popularity of the WNBA All-Star Weekend. Therefore, when Napheesa Collier was asked about her favorite moment of the weekend, she replied "Not a favorite moment, but StudBudz has been the highlight of I think everybody’s weekend."

Kelsey Plum Discusses The "Pay Us What You Owe Us" T-Shirts

Once the All-Star game was over, it was time for the players to participate in a Q&A session with the media. During the same, Kelsey Plum revealed she didn't know the fans were going to chant "Pay the players". As for the T-Shirts, she highlighted that "Just united front, was determined this morning. That we had a meeting for". In a separate statement to ESPN's Michael Voepel, she revealed that "Rev sharing is truly transformational. We want a piece of the entire pie. Not a piece of part of the pie. We're a resilient group. We know the unity it takes to be able to [get] the outcome desired."

When asked how did the player feel after breaking the All-Star Game scoring record, she replied "It felt good to hit some 4-pointers. That felt good, for sure. I see why those guards are shooting threes all the time".

Ever since Paige Bueckers confirmed the long-running rumors of her dating former UConn teammate Azzi Fudd, fans can't get enough of her. More updates are needed. The couple obliged by reuniting at the court after Team Collier's win. They posed together for a photo, and hugged before Paige had to head back to the court.

Team Collier trolls Angel Reese with "Lynx" chant

Team Collier had not 1, not 2, but 3 players hailing from the Minnesota Lynx squad. This provided the perfect opportunity to engage in some light-hearted trolling. The All-Star Game winners were preparing to pose for the camera, and Angel Reese took a spot at the front. When everyone was ready, a few of the players shouted "1, 2, 3… LYNX". Reese immediately stood up and walked away, while the rest of the Collier squad had a good laugh.

Fans Shout Out Support For WNBA Players' Pay Demands

From remarks of pay disparity made by Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, and the All-Star players being united in wearing T-shirts that said "Pay us what you owe us", it is obvious just how much the pay disparity issue means. Fortunately, the fans are standing right besides them. As WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert presented the All-Star Game MVP trophy, fans around the Gainbridge Fieldhouse were heard chanting "Pay them". People holding signs of "Pay the Players" occupied the seats closest to the court.

In the immediate aftermath of Team Collier's win, and Napheesa Collier receiving the All-Star MVP honor, longtime sports commentator Skip Bayless took to X. He wrote "Congrats to Skylar Diggins for the first triple double ever in a WNBA All-Star game. Should've been MVP." Yikes!

Napheesa Collier and Skylar Diggins MAKE HISTORY!

With less than 5:40 minutes remaining in the game, Napheesa Collier shot another 4-pointer to extend her scoring lead to 36 Points. With that shot, the 5x WNBA All-Star now holds the WNBA All-Star game scoring record, surpassing the previous stat recorded by Arike Ogunbowale (34 points) in the 2024 All-Star Game. Collier got the assist from Skylar Diggins. It marked her 12th assist of the game, allowing her to break the WNBA All-Star Game assist record previously set, at 11, by Sue Bird.

Caitlin Clark was mic'ed up during halftime to have a conversation with the television broadcasters providing their analysis on the game. When asked about her focus while coaching from the sidelines, the Indiana Fever star replied that "I'm just all '4-point shots, 4-point shots, 4-point shots, more, more, more'. We haven't made as many as them. You don't realize how fast 4-point shots are gonna add up".
