A perfect example of “A match of two halves”, Manchester United vs AZ Alkmaar fixture in the Europa League took the fans through various emotions. And for a change it wasn’t a dead rubber match. As the two teams battled it out for the top spot. With the Manchester club claiming all three points to go top. Manchester United produced a torturous first half.

Then a free scoring second half with the match ending in a 4-0 win for the Red Devils. A heavily rotated side put up by Solskjær looked out of shape. Failing to get going while also conceding many goal scoring opportunities. However they managed to turn it around and went on to score 4 goals, one a piece by Ashley Young and Juan Mata and two by Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood, Manchester United’s teenage sensation had a three goal involvement with two goals and one penalty won. Solskjær didn’t hold back while praising him. “The lad’s a natural finisher, he’s always done it,” the United manager said. “He’s good with both feet and always composed. He probably just needs to develop his heading. Seriously, though, to change nine players and still win so comfortably is a great credit to the players.”
