Marvel’s Avengers will make its way to the current-gen consoles in September this year. Just like in the movies and comic books, The Avengers will come together to save the world from heinous crimes. It will feature third-person perspective gameplay and allow you to assemble a team of superheroes of your choice.

The game will include customizable options, which will allow you to modify the costume and the abilities of the characters. For post-launch support, Crystal Dynamics has plans to support the game for years to come. This means that the list of superheroes and their respective missions will be updated periodically.

Reddit user uncovers Marvel’s Avengers DLC characters

A Reddit user has uncovered a list of playable characters present within the beta’s recent 1.03 update. This list includes She-Hulk, War Machine, and Kate Bishop. She-Hulk and Kate Bishop already have their counterparts in the game and so are set to make their debut sometime in 2022.

Other characters that have been uncovered by another Reddit user ‘RoboMatters’ include Ant-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Falcon, Mar-Vell, Mockingbird, Quake, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Wasp, and Winter Soldier.

Moreover, SquareEnix has confirmed it will make Spider-Man and Hawkeye available post-release.

If you’re wondering how the devs decide on which characters they want to add in the game, here is what Shaun Escayg, Creative Director of Avengers, had to say.

“The process of choosing these characters is ‘Can we ground them in this world? Can we make a real argument to Marvel that this character belongs here, this character will move our story forward or take us into new stories?”

Every character to have its own story

The studio plans to keep the game relevant for years to come. Hence, the plan is to introduce new characters with frequent updates, keeping the game fresh. These characters will have unique stories and missions. Marvel has no shortage of characters under its belt, so we can expect a roster full of illustrious names.

The game will release on September 4th. Moreover, the current-gen console users can upgrade to the next-gen version at no additional cost.
