In just 4 days, UFC champion Conor McGregor and Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather will face of in what people are calling ‘the biggest crossover fight’. Even before the action, McGregor and Mayweather are coming to blows and getting in each other’s faces, further hyping up the rivalry. The bout is scheduled to take place in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, an 18,000 capacity stadium. But… there is a problem, boxing correspondent Mike Costello says that even though the fight is inching closer and closer, the tickets are not selling like hot cakes.

Sources say that around 7,000 seats are still up for grabs but despite the buzz, it is increasingly likely that it may not be a full house. The main culprit seems to be the soaring prices of the said tickets. the cheapest available tickets cost $500 and they are going for around $1,300. Although the prices are coming down, it still seems like the Irishman and the American will fight in front of a half empty arena. Front row seats cost $100,250 and many boxers are highly displeased at the hype that the bout is getting.

McGregor will be competing as a boxer for the first time, while Mayweather has been lured out of retirement for this bout. The Los Angeles Times said that this bout is vastly different from the ‘Fight of the Century’ between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao because the tickets for that fight were almost impossible to buy.
