Both Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series S/X have officially rolled out and the new-gen consoles have received a magnificent response from the community. So much so, that the demand has outstripped the supply of the console. However, both consoles have encountered several unexpected issues with hardware.

Despite all that, both consoles have established a niche for themselves in their respective markets. The Xbox with the Game Pass as its nucleus has kept the fans going even after missing out on an exclusive at launch.

PlayStation 5 users complained of several hardware issues, but are more or less satisfied with the list of exclusive titles that have accompanied the console at launch.

How are these consoles different from one another? Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella was asked the same question during the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting.

The Xbox might witness more improvements in the following weeks

Satya Nadella responded to the question by saying the company is “very much focused on gaming.” Clearly, Microsoft’s CEO was pointing to the acquisition of ZeniMax Media, which has allowed Microsoft to include a list of some exquisite Bethesda titles to its celebrated Game Pass.

The Game Pass now has over 15 million users whose needs Microsoft has to cater to in order to sustain the Xbox ecosystem.

He also revealed that Microsoft has developed its strategies around making sure that its honest patrons can enjoy their games anywhere they want, wherever they want, and with whoever they want.

And the acquisition of ZeniMax Media was just the beginning they needed to achieve this goal.

He concluded by saying, “You’ve seen us double our content portfolio with ZeniMax acquisition, you see us make advances in our community efforts and our subscription offers with Game Pass. And that’s what you can expect from us.

“We are absolutely very, very much focused on gaming, and ensuring that all the 3 billion gamers around the world get the best content, best community, and the best cloud services to power their gaming experiences going forward.”

The Xbox Series S/X is now available across the world. But the potential buyers may have to wait in online queues in order to grab one.
