Another homer, and another record for the Yankees’ potential MVP star Aaron Judge. This time, Judge hit the 54th homer of the season and joined the company of elites.
In the most number of home runs in a season in 135 games, he tied with the legend Babe Ruth and controversial star Mark McGwire, who got accused of using performance-enhancing drugs during the year he hit 54 homers.

Judge is on the pace to hit 65 homers, but who knows, he might hit more than that. Meanwhile, many people congratulated Aaron Judge, including the former Yankee Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez, for tying his Yankees record for homers.
How did Aaron Judge challenge the record by stars of the ‘steroid era?’
Thought to be one of the greatest hitters of all time, Barry Bonds is on the top of the list of most home runs in a single season. With 73 homers in 2001, his record is still unbroken to this day. It was also the year when Bonds allegedly took steroids.
