‘I Wish J. Lo All the Luck in the World’- Alex Rodriguez’s Ex-girlfriend’s Mom Fired Shots After Failed Relationship Between A-Rod and Her Daughter

After getting divorced from his then-wife, Cynthia Scurtis, the former baseball player, Alex Rodriguez, had his fair share of relationships. Those relationships included the co-founder, Anne Wojcicki, of the genomics company 23andMe.

But this relationship was not approved by Anne’s mother, Esther. She was quite open about her thoughts regarding A-Rod as well. On top of that, Esther wished the athlete’s then-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, all the best for staying with him.

Anne came from an intellectual family, where having a Ph.D. was normal. Rodriguez, on the other hand, was completely different. He may not be as intellectual as Anne or her family, but he was one of the greatest players in baseball. 

Why did Esther wish Jennifer all the best while she was dating Alex Rodriguez?

Esther thought that A-Rod may be a nice man, but because he had no academic background, she could not have an intellectual conversation with him. Therefore, she thought JLo might suit him better as she was used to handling fame.

“That will work better with [his current girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez] because she’s like, ‘Take a picture of me anytime.’ … I wish J. Lo all the luck in the world,” Anne’s mom said.

Anne’s mother has previously said that because of the level of fame Alex had, it was almost impossible to go out with the man without anyone asking for a picture of him or with him.

For how long did Alex and Anne dated?

The couple was an unusual one from the start, and this fact was not hidden by anyone. The couple was first linked with each other, around March 2016, and made quite a few public appearances as well. They even appeared at the Met Gala together.

But their relationship did not last very long. Their relationship carried on for just under a year.

Albeit, both of them were smart business people, and there were very few common things between them. And because of many uncommon interests, and them being too different, their relationship suffered the heat of it.
