$220 Million Man Derek Jeter Once Revealed How Rap Legend Snoop Dogg Inspired a New Way to Grow His Massive Fortune

As a young guy, Jeter used ‘Cool Water’ perfume. He got turned into using the fragrance after listening to a rap song. But more than anything, the perfume ultimately inspired his own creativity. Therefore, Jeter went on to launch his own cologne brand titled, ‘Derek Jeter Driven’ following up with ‘Driven Black’.

Thus, on an assumption, the cologne brand must have been a boost to his finances as well. Jeter has got legendary rapper Snoop Dogg to thank for that. 

Snoop Dogg is a world-renowned figure in rap music. One of Snoop Dogg’s songs titled, ‘Lodi Dodi’ mentions the Cool Water perfume. The song motivated Jeter to try out using the Cool Water perfume. Ultimately, that proved influential to Jeter creating his own brand of cologne. 

The smells in Jeter’s cologne include Sicilian blood orange, Italian bergamot, saffron, white cedar, and Australian sandalwood. According to a source, Jeter once reportedly said, “When I was younger I used to wear Cool Water.” Then explaining the process behind his own cologne, Jeter added, “When I did this one years ago, the whole thing was a learning process. I was literally smelling all the different smells.”

Jeter also jokingly said, “It’s different (than Cool Water), but there are some similarities.”
