MLB great Derek Jeter made numerous friends in his lengthy career playing for the New York Yankees. But his friendship with Alex Rodriguez is probably the one that interests baseball fans the most. The relationship between Rodriguez and Jeter remained a subject of media attention and speculation from its start in the early 1990s. The two of them went from being best friends to foes who could not be left alone in a room. And when talking about up-and-downs in their relationships, who can forget their awkward appearance in a 2017 interview?

It’s been over two decades since all of it transpired. Despite knowing their history, they once got called for an interview where they had to sit beside each other. Yes! However, a few days after the interview got released, Dan Le Batard of ESPN spoke about Captain Clutch’s feelings via an anonymous source. Apparently, when Jeter was called about the interview, he wasn’t aware that he’d be doing it with A-Rod sitting right beside him.

According to the ESPN reporter“I actually learned, factually, that Jeter was beside himself angry at that interview he had to do with Alex Rodriguez, first and foremost, because nobody told him he’d have to be sitting there next to Alex Rodriguez.”

Considering their history, the Hall of Famer might’ve been right to get angry about the situation. However, it did not help when the host asked the two legends about their relationship.
