The superstar former Yankees shortstop separated from the pop star in 2021 and she has since gone on to date her former beau Ben Affleck. On the occasion of Father’s day, as A-Rod vacationed with his daughters in Capri, J-Lo took a moment to recognize how her fiancee Ben Affleck made her feel and how thankful she was for his presence in her life.

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez struck up a whirlwind romance in 2017 and were painting the town red together with frequent public appearances too. The pair announced their engagement in March 2019 and were set to get hitched only a year later. However, the pair fell apart and rumors emerged in February and March of 2021 that the pair were no longer together. Soon after, Lopez announced her engagement to Hollywood star Ben Affleck and they have kept on the course since.

Jennifer Lopez posts about Ben Affleck – door shut on Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez?

The popstar took Father’s Day as the perfect opportunity to post about her fiancee. Taking to her personal Instagram, Lopez was affectionate in acknowledging Affleck’s contributions. “This is the best time of my life,” said Lopez.

But perhaps what was most telling was how she spoke about their continued bond. Said Lopez, “I love my career, but nothing is more fulfilling to me than being able to build a family.”

And for Lopez, her partner was a big part of the equation. She added that building the family was important, but her partner too was a big part of that conversation. “With someone who I love deeply and who is just as dedicated to family and to each other as we can be,” she added.

The voiceover ran as a montage of pictures played out on the screen. With the couple seemingly deep in love, it’s hard not to feel happy for the pop star.

A-Rod recently posted a few pictures of him with his family vacationing on the Italian coast. With pictures of all of them on boats on the crystal blue waters, he too seems to be making the most of his time. In fact, the star was making the most of his time with his daughters. Making it a surprise family vacation, Rodriguez is making the most of his time off.

And while the break-up was almost a year ago, A-Rod has still not publicly committed to a relationship.
