No matter what you do, you still are not liked by everybody around you. Though he has made mistakes in the past, the baseball icon Alex Rodriguez has proved himself as a player as well as a businessman.

Alex once dated the American entrepreneur Anne Wojcicki, who is the co-founder and CEO of genomics company 23andMe. Their relationship apparently was not liked by the businesswoman’s mother. And she was likely not the one to hide her intentions from anyone.

Even though Alex seemed genuinely in love with her daughter, Esther Wojcicki labeled him as dumb because he did not go to college. 

The time when A-Rod was supposed to go to college was filled up with him playing professional baseball and making millions out of it. Esther liked the baseball player as a man, but she knew from the start that he was not a good match for her daughter. 

She said, “I liked A-Rod, he was a very nice man. He seemed to be genuinely in love with Anne. But I right away figured out this was a mismatch. He had no academic background. We couldn’t have an intellectual conversation about anything. His main interest in life was something that none of us had ever focused on, which was baseball.”

Anne’s mother wished luck to Jennifer

Anne Wojcicki’s story was posted in the New York Times. Because for some part of her life she was linked to Alex, he also got mentioned in the story. 

Then, Esther said she could not go anywhere with him. She said, “Even if we went to Target to get clothes or stuff, people would be there like the paparazzi just wanted a picture of Alex or with him. Just because of people around him everywhere, he could not even walk to the Central Park. He has to take a cab. But this will be okay with Jennifer because she is used to all of it already”
