America’s New York City has countless things to offer. But does this mean this famous big city has no downside to it? Major League Baseball’s one of the best players in the league, 2x World Champ, Mookie Betts thinks there are too many downsides about the city. Although, Betts’ thoughts might be altered a bit because of his history with the Boston Red Sox, who are the fiercest rival of NYC’s New York Yankees.

Most recently, the current LA Dodgers player, Mookie Betts, sat down with the Yankees captain, Aaron Judge to talk over a few things. In one of those things, Betts aimed a ferocious verbal attack at the iconic New York City. As he did so, Judge tried his best to save face and make the best out of it.

Aaron Judge and Mookie Betts are two of the best active players in the league right now. And since Betts now plays for the LA Dodgers, one of the conversation topics between the two athletes was about the two cities, LA and New York.

While Judge said a few good things about LA, he softly turned toward being a pro-New Yorker. However, per Mookie, NYC has to make some big changes to impress the Dodgers’ star. About the Big Apple, Mookie said, “Half the time, there’s (at restaurants) rats running right in front of the door, and you go in, and the food is just magnetic. All them nights walking in New York. And I see the trash right there, and I smell the feces in the air, from the sewers. I know I’m getting me a good meal.”

NYC might have a few downsides to it. But who doesn’t have a few downsides? On the other side, while listening to Betts rant about the things he does not like about New York City, Judge maintained his calm. It was as if nothing or no one could ruin NYC for him.

What did Judge say about the city he plays for?

When Mookie asked to Judge about what city he prefers, the Yankees captain said that while he likes LA to have a meal every now and then, NYC is a place where he could go to a different place every night.

And when Mookie said about rats being there, Judge said, “That’s when you know it’s good. When you see that out front, that’s when you know it’s good, it’s all fancy.”
