

A name that has never required an introduction, and probably never will, is none other than the former baseball player for the New York Yankees, Alex Rodriguez. When it comes to the list of people who brags about their belongings, Alex’s name is never on the last.
When the former batboy of the Yankees, Luis Castillo, revealed secrets of the team in his memoir, Clubhouse Confidential. He revealed multiple secrets and habits of A-Rod.

One of those habits of the athlete included him giving an enormous amount of tips. Then needing to flex on his teammates because of it.
How did Alex Rodriguez made tipping his compulsive need?
In every aspect of competing, the former player has always stayed on the top. And it was the same in the past when he played. The other players were tipping Castillo seven or three grand at the end of the year. And Alex just had to match his teammates.

He bumped his end-of-the-year tip from $1400 to be on the same level as other players. Castillo also said, “He even tipped me $100 a week to make sure there was a creatine shake waiting for him after each home game.”
Other players who were generous with their end-of-the-year tip to Castillo were the captain, Derek Jeter, Roger Clemens, and Jorge Posada.
According to Castillo, this was just one of the quirks that he wrote down in his memoir. And that this was not a bad one.
What other secrets did Castillo reveal about Rodriguez?
Castillo said that because of A-Rod’s habits and his being high-maintenance, he irritated the other players a lot.

One of the habits included his toothbrush being put at a certain angle on the sink. That, at the right edge beside the cold-water tap. Another one was that his clothes should be laid out on the table in a predetermined order. It was socks, undershorts, undershirt, shirt, pants, and shoes.
