The slump faced by the New York Yankees this season is not hidden from anyone. Changes were needed in the team, and for making them, the manager and general manager are facing criticism.

Last night, the Yankees played against the Tampa Bay Rays and had to accept a frightful loss of 9-0. The lineup set by the manager Aaron Boone failed to score even one run. The Yankees are now at 79-53 this season. ESPN analyst Michael Kay pointed out the mistakes in the Yankees lineup in less than one minute. Yankees is a powerful team, and to see such a team going down is out of sorts.

Michael did not even take one minute to tear down the Yankees lineup, and just pointed out what he thinks is going wrong.

Starting with LeMahieu, he thinks, “his toe is still bothering him. He hasn’t had an extra base in 19 games.” Then he went on to say about how Stanton is on 3-25 since he came back from the injured list. About Josh Donaldson, Kay said, “has hit nothing close to the way he’s hit in previous years,…Hicks hasn’t hit all year.”

Then he talked about Falefa being essentially a single’s hitter, and Trevino has done what he’s supposed to do. Furthermore, he said, “It’s a rough go right now, but Judge is hitting.”
But the team cannot win with only one hitter doing his best. Players are trying, but it is somehow not enough for the team to get out of the slump.
How have the Yankees played this season so far?
Like the powerful team, the New York Yankees is, they started off this season with a bang. They established a new club record for victories before the mid-summer classic by having 64 wins.

However, the second half of this season is not going nearly as well as it went in the first half. Considering the team has only 15 wins since the second half started.
