Alex Rodriguez is a name known for many things. Those many things include his fantastic career in Major League Baseball, his PED scandal, his business ventures, and his personal life. 

The former baseball player got tested for taking performance-enhancing drugs, and the test came back positive. Following this, he got banned from the Major League for 162 games.

During his suspension, a report came out of A-Rod taking a pi*s at his cousin’s house to claim his territory.

Why did Alex Rodriguez want to claim his territory?

The fourteen-time all-star’s name appeared in the list of 104 players who tested positive for taking performance-enhancing drugs in 2003. The report had come in February 2009.

Apparently, A-Rod has procured drugs from his cousin, Yuri Sucart. And when the FEDs came knocking on his door, he threw Sucart under the bus claiming, Sucart tried to extort $5 million from him in exchange for keeping mum about their arrangement. 

Then one day, Alex went to his cousin’s house in Miami, which he provided for him in 2010. 

According to Sucart’s wife, Carmen, “He vowed to destroy the family if they went public with his use of performance-enhancing drugs. Then he uri*ated on the floor, she said, as if to mark the house as his territory.”

This kind of behavior is not expected by any player, let alone a legend of the game.

When did A-Rod return to the Yankees?

In the year 2016, when the ban on him of 162 games ended, Alex came to the Pinstripes to play in the Majors for the last time. It was the last time, as he got retired the same year.

The athlete has made mistakes, and he also has paid for them. But the revolting behavior at his cousin’s house was not expected from him at all.

Whatever happened, it cannot be changed. But now Alex wants other players to learn from his mistakes. He wants them to know his stupidity, learn from it, and never do it again. He certainly can’t change the things he has done in the past. And his past is not going to leave him any time soon.
