‘I Don’t Believe in Sharing Your Bed With the Same Person Your Whole Life’- Alex Rodriguez’s Ex-Girlfriend Once Possibly Hinted at Sharing ‘Ideal Love’ With A-Rod

A relationship depends on many factors. The perception about it matters, and everyone has a different one. Ex-girlfriend of the Yankees icon Alex Rodriguez, Cameron Diaz, does not believe in living with a person for her whole life if she does not want it.

The actress’ comments about living life with one person came not long after she got linked to the baseball player.

Does Diaz believe in the concept of monogamy?

The Charlie’s Angels actress dated the athlete for just over a year, from 2010 to 2011. The actress has shared her opinions on monogamy in multiple interviews. When Cameron was linked to A-Rod, she said, “Relationships can last two, five or 20 years. I don’t believe in sharing your bed with the same person your whole life, though. That might be a reality for some, but it surely isn’t for me.”

She does not think a person should get married under the pressure of society, but only if he wants to. According to her, there is nothing wrong with choosing to stay single. She added, “Our society tries to makes us believe you’re ready for love at 18, have to get married and spend the rest of your life with the same man. That’s not the ideal anymore these days.”

Nonetheless, the couple officially announced their relationship in June 2011, and split up just a month later, citing schedule conflicts. 

What did Alex Rodriguez think of Cameron?

Although Alex and Cameron dated for just over a year, he thought highly of her. Even after the breakup, he was seen saying good things about his ex-girlfriend. In April 2012, Alex said, “She’s probably one of the greatest human beings I’ve ever met and just an amazing light.” They broke up because of their hectic schedules but not because they thought badly of each other. 

After breaking up, they went on to date different people. For Alex, he dated Torrie Wilson, Anne Wojcicki, and Jennifer Lopez. There are rumors of him dating a model, but the relationship is not announced by either party yet.

As for Cameron, she went to date and later marry musician Benji Madden in 2015 and has a daughter with him. Looks like she found the one she wants to spend the rest of her life with.
