Derek Jeter firmly rejected the idea of returning to play baseball
Derek Jeter appeared on an episode of the Drink Champs podcast that aired on November 5th. During this podcast, Jeter talked about baseball, his time as a player, and everything in between. When asked if he ever thought about playing while he was the owner of the Marlins, this is what Jeter said, “No no no no no no no no no no no no no no, let’s get one thing straight, I’m done. I would embarrass myself. I understand how difficult it is to play the game.”

This made it clear that once Jeter had retired, he had no thoughts of playing again or making a comeback. Although it may seem surprising coming from a guy who loves the game as Jeter does, it showed that he was done with that chapter of his life.
