From the start of his professional career, Derek Jeter has always been a perfectionist. The former Yankees captain played the game the way he wanted to. He made everyone fall in love with his exceptional performances in the ballparks. Even opponents’ fans have celebrated Jeter.

However, when it came down to personal life, Jeter did not seem prepared for a very special moment in his life. Notably, after dating for a few years, the former Yankees captain married Swimsuit supermodel, Hannah Jeter. And as said earlier, Jeter was not ready to become a father of his first child with his supermodel wife.

Derek Jeter was feeling uncomfortable before becoming a father

During his 20 years of baseball career, Derek Jeter never felt unprepared or uncomfortable in the ballparks. But when he knew he would soon become a father to a girl child, Jeter started feeling uncomfortable.

Dating back to 2017, when the Yankees held a program to retire his iconic jersey number #2, Jeter shared his feelings about becoming a father for the first time. Notably, Jeter was with his wife Hannah Jeter in the Bronx for the jersey retirement ceremony.

“You know, I prided myself in my career to be prepared at all games. Any time I’m unprepared, it makes me uncomfortable. I’m unprepared. From everything people have told me, just do it and see what happens,” Derek Jeter said in 2017.

“People can give you advice, but until you’re in it, you never really know what to expect,” the athlete told the reporter. “I’m excited, but at the same time, I’m nervous.” 

Currently, Derek Jeter is a father of three lovely daughters. From being terrified of becoming a father to one child, Jeter has come a long way to becoming the father of three daughters.

It has been over six years since Derek and Hannah have been together.
